About Rooftop Snipers
Rooftop Snipers is a two-button duel by New Eich Games: you and your opponent stand on a rooftop, and the goal is not to kill — it is to knock the other player off the edge. One key jumps, the other raises and fires your gun. The shooting is deliberately floaty, your character never stops wobbling, and every fired shot shoves both of you around the roof. It is barely controllable, and that is the entire point.
Rounds change weapons and rooftops as you play — pistols, shotguns, harpoons, each with its own shove physics. First to five knockoffs wins the match, though nobody has ever stopped at one match.
The key layout is built for sharing: Player 1 sits on W and E at the left edge of the keyboard, Player 2 takes I and O on the right. No overlapping hands, no excuses. Simple enough to teach anyone in ten seconds, deep enough that your jumps and shot timing visibly improve within a session.
Tips to win
- Recoil pushes you backward — shooting near your own edge is self-destruction.
- Jump-shooting angles your shot downward; it is the classic finisher on a stunned opponent.
- Against shotguns, stay airborne more; against pistols, stay grounded and steady.
Frequently asked questions
What are the controls in Rooftop Snipers?
Player 1: W to jump, E to shoot. Player 2: I to jump, O to shoot. Two buttons each, total chaos guaranteed.
Do I win by shooting my opponent?
You win by knocking them off the rooftop — shots shove players rather than eliminating them, so positioning matters more than aim.
Is there a single-player mode?
Yes, you can duel the computer, but the game was clearly built for two friends and one keyboard.
