About Castel Wars
Castel Wars is a duel where you fight with architecture as much as weapons. Each player starts on their own side of a retro-pixel arena and can place bricks in the world — build stairs to reach your opponent, wall yourself off when hurt, or brick up the gap they were about to escape through. Weapons spawn around the map, and one clean hit with a thrown weapon ends the fight.
That building mechanic makes it far more of a mind game than a reflex game. Aggressive players tunnel straight across; defensive players turtle behind brick walls until the other side overextends. Both strategies work, which is why every match turns into a personality test.
The blue player uses WASD to move and E to attack, placing bricks with W; the red player mirrors it on the arrow keys with P, building with the Down Arrow. Made by RHM Interactive, and there are sequels if the formula clicks for you.
Tips to win
- Bricks are free — build constantly, not just when in danger.
- A thrown weapon beats a held one; grab, retreat behind a wall, and throw through the gap.
- Cutting off the ceiling route wins more games than chasing across open ground.
Frequently asked questions
How do the controls work for two players?
Blue player: WASD plus E to attack. Red player: arrow keys plus P to attack. Each side builds bricks with their up/down keys.
What actually wins a round?
Landing a hit with a weapon — usually a thrown one. Building is how you create the opening to land it safely.
