About Money Movers 3

Money Movers 3 flips the series on its head: after two games of breaking in and out of prisons, you now play as the guard and his loyal dog, chasing the escaped thieves through the very same kind of co-op puzzle levels. The guard handles buttons, crates and anything requiring hands; the dog is fast, small, and gets into spaces the guard cannot — and yes, catching a thief as the dog is exactly as satisfying as it sounds.

The level design keeps the series' golden rule: every puzzle needs both characters. One holds a pressure plate while the other loops around; one takes the high route while the other crawls the vents. Communication is the real difficulty setting, which is what makes it such a reliable two-player game for friends, siblings or a parent-kid team.

One player takes the arrow keys, the other WASD, sharing a single keyboard comfortably. If you have not played the earlier games, start with Money Movers 2 — but the three games can be enjoyed in any order.

Tips to win

  • The dog scouts, the guard commits — send the fast character ahead to reveal the puzzle before moving the slow one.
  • Thieves react to the character they can see; use one player as bait and catch them with the other.
  • If a level feels impossible, you have probably given the wrong character the wrong route.
