About Basketball Stars
Basketball Stars is the most "real" basketball game you can play with two people on one keyboard. Unlike one-button ragdoll games, this is a proper 1v1 duel: you move, jump, shoot, block, dash and steal, and the better player genuinely wins. Pick from famous-looking stars and take your rivalry to a tournament or a straight head-to-head match.
The control split is comfortable for two players: one of you lives on the arrow keys with K and L for supershots and steals, the other takes A/W/S/D with V and B. Double-tapping a direction dashes, which is the move that separates beginners from the friend who suddenly will not stop winning.
Made by MadPuffers, the studio behind the long-running Basketball Legends series, this is the game to settle which of you actually has hands. Matches are short, the rematch button is right there, and the loser always has one more excuse.
Tips to win
- Release the shot at the top of your jump for the cleanest arc.
- Dash through your opponent to knock the ball loose instead of spamming steal.
- Save the supershot for open looks — it is punishable if your opponent times a block.
- On defense, stay grounded until the shooter commits; early jumps give up easy drives.
Frequently asked questions
Is Basketball Stars 2 player on the same keyboard?
Yes — one player uses the arrow keys with K/L, the other uses WASD with V/B. You can also play solo against the CPU.
How do I dash?
Double-tap a movement direction. Dashing is also your best defensive tool for body-checking the ball carrier.
Is this the same as Basketball Legends?
Same developer (MadPuffers) and the same 1v1 DNA — Basketball Stars is the standalone browser version of that formula.
